Adobe Photoshop can be used for creating some stellar magazine images. With just few simple steps you can create your own magazine cover. You can also learn about How to Bend Text by Using Pen Tool in Photoshop. For creating a magazine cover you need to follow these steps.
- Create a new document and make sure that the width of your new document is twice of your cover image plus it is 50% higher than your cover image.
- Now give your new document a gradient and you can select any color of your choice.
- Now is the time to add your cover photo. Paste your cover image and name your new layer “Cover”.
- Now click on Edit>Transform>Perspective.
- Now drag the top left handle down in order to add correct perspective to the cover image.
- Now copy the layer by dragging the layer down to the new layer button located in layer palette.
- Move this layer behind the cover layer and then name it “Back”.
- Now you need to double click on the bacl layer so that you can bring forward the layers style window.
- Now apply a color overlay and use the color which is similar to the cover but a bit darker.
- Now click on Edit>Transform>Perspective.
- Now duplicate the back layer by dragging the layer towards the new layer button which is at the bottom of the layers palette.
- Give this layer “Pages” name. Remember this layer should lie in between cover layer and back layer.
- Now double click on the Pages layer and apply white color overlay.
- Now apply stroke style and use black color and set the size to 1px.
- Set the Opacity level to 70% and then click OK.
- Now move the layer down by using Move Tool.
- Now duplicate the Page layer.
- Now draw a marquee around the corners which are poking out by using Lasso Tool.
- Now delete the extra bits.
- Now change the background to anything you like the most e.g. pure white.
